You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
― Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
I’m still wondering about the first one?
Circus tents just come from the cleaners?
What on earth are they?
Then buckles holding cracks together.
In cement.
But what are those?
Shoes on the bike rack?
Oh dear!
I don’t know anything.
At all.
Before these photos,
I thought I did.
Bravo.
Possibly heading to the cloth market. Women in Rajasthan (India) use them as wrap-around (Like a long skirt) then drape 4 to 6 feet of a different cloth material, what’s called “Indian Sari”
I just added one more picture. Buckles holding the stairs of a temple. No clue way?
Those shoes are called “Mojris”, a mark of prestige for the local men in Rajasthan. They don’t throw them away when worn out but will mend again and again and continue to wear them until they’re totally useless.
maybe,
if you didn’t buckle the stairs of the temple down,
ever so politely/ineffectually.
the stairs might just leave you.
and fly on their own to heaven.
leaving no one a stairway to there.
Fascinating – there’s a through-line, but I can’t grasp it, which makes it all the stronger. Although I’m tempted to take a look at that link…your photographs are wonderful, human, conceptual. Great.
Ha Ha…Pretty close to “Why am I me?” and if the question persists to nudge, you’ll encounter the idea/link soon though I wonder you must have in some form or another.
Thank you for your support Richard. I feel awesome when you pat me 🙂 )
And find an old sock and a 1980’s newspaper instead 😀
Good for keeps, we’re the paper kites!
Tethered,
we dance in breezes,
Locked, but free,
Wrapped in our own dreams
Absolutely,
the dreams within the dreams in a big dream
Inception 😀
A good movie! In real though I’m yearning to capture a moment, any moment…I can’t
It seems in life, the harder you try to capture something, the faster it runs away.
How did I miss the post…!!… I feel like a ride on his cycle… then where will he keep his pride? Maybe I can hold them for him… After all, it’s as good as a prayer if he tends to them so well, until it leaves him with an answer…His yellow seat is tempting, but i’ll sit at the back…And ask him to take me to the temple where the stairs are buckled, never seen anything like that! And maybe I could fly if I unbuckle them with his help… While those lovely colors watch us from below
haha, this is called the glorification of existential potential, but in the end, one never knows until experienced… ergo! Sure… I’m hoping you keep it mostly to your photographs and I won’t have much writing to do, so that it gets it’s due!…
these are terrific Arjun-I love, love the top picture and the bottom-so simple but tells a wonderful story-the step pictures-simple composition that works wonderfully-well done!
The First Pic is colorful….And The Last one so Indian,I used to ride such Cycle long back.. 😀
Good ole memories. I would get a ride on that one everyday to school and back 😀

OK, why is that stone hinged to the ground?
Obviously. Steps leading to a temple 🙂
To stop them flying away?
Right. Quantum physics claims when you’re not looking at a thing, they do their own thing, anything…
Ahh, got it! Bhang Lassi anyone!?
Start from here.

So I assume you have been writing poems, lots of them and someday you’ll surprise us with a book or something like that?!
Beautiful detail shots! I really enjoyed this set!!!
Glad to hear that. Thank you Mark!!
That first picture is quite stunning, that much color in the middle of a tan landscape. What are the clasps on the stairs for in the second picture?
Stupid me, I didn’t care to the ask but I promise to find out. Thank you so much for coming by. Have a nice day! 🙂
Beautiful photo’s Arjun. I love the colours.!

Your friend is back, I see!!
Indeed, I was most surprised 🙂
Everyone does. Hit by the boulder, grounded, here we seek and find love!

If I ever do a book, you’ll have to write the text, preface, also index, glossary and title too!

lovely pics Arjun! 😀
Fashion & design? This is perfect material for my blog! 😉
Those colors once more…!
I actually love the buckles. That contrast between raw solid and fancy gold-ish catches the eye.
Such vibrant colours!
Magnificent photos, Arjun. I don’t know what those locks on the steps are. Too bizarre!
