I had stock in Tata Motors for a time, it did rather well. But I remember reading that they were having difficulties in getting a factory built, because some farmers refused to give up their land. How the issue was resolved, I never found out, but I hope the farmers win. They so rarely get what they want, but at least they have land, to lose the soil that passed through the fingers of their ancestors would be a tragedy.
That was a sad episode. Farmers who had sold their land were promised jobs in the factory so they spent money they got, to redo their houses, married off their daughters.
Factory shifted to Gujarat. Matter is stuck in the court. I’m not sure, if farmers are toiling the land as of now.

the painting of a tragedy here… You would be amazed but long time ago Romanian farmers were fighting with the rich of the time for nothing but land. “We want land” was their motto… It’s because as farmers that is their very soul and identity…
I think it’s a disaster that money rule everything in our world, money buy land, houses, animals, good lives or souls… everywhere in this world it’s the same, the poor farmers have no chance or money to win against the rich or the corporations…
